JACK CANFIELD PROSPERS ME!

I've known Jack Canfield for nearly forty years, since I met him while covering a psychology convention for NBC Radio and interviewing him about his workshop, If Life Hands You A Lemon, Make Lemonade. Jack had a beard then and usually carried a guitar (it was, after all, the 1970s). We became good friends, often discussed our ideas and future aspirations, and saw each other through a lot of ups and downs.

Jack and his wife even took care of my cat when I was spending a lot of time in England in the mid-1980s, and the two of us co-led a workshop on Money and Self-Esteem. When I went broke and then to prison ( you can read all about this in the Appendix of The Moneylove Manifesto, which you can download free at www.MoneyloveBlog.com ) he was one of my biggest supporters, and bought me a lot of stuff, including a TV, typewriter, electric shaver, and many magazine subscriptions. He also arranged for me to have two stories published in Chicken Soup For The Prisoner's Soul.

Jack is a pretty difficult guy to get directly in touch with nowadays, as you can imagine. But I tracked him down through some mutual friends and his gatekeeper. He was happy to hear from me and we arranged a phone conversation for a few days ago. It was supposed to last thirty minutes, but we ended up talking and reminiscing for over an hour. Jack even gave me permission to record a conversation we had about prosperity, which I will be sharing with subscribers to The Moneylove Club (again, check the blog link in above paragraph.

As I asked Jack's advice about re-emerging into the world of books and audio programs and speeches and workshops, Jack made me an amazing offer--to publicize my prosperity blog in his ezine, which goes to a huge number of subscribers. Here is what will appear in a few weeks:

"Jerry Gillies and I have traded ideas for years, he is one of the pioneers of prosperity thinking and his book, Moneylove, has shown thousands of people how to create prosperity and achieve their dreams of financial independence. His ideas are applicable to everyone, his strategies are proven, and he’s giving a lot of very valuable information away free at www.MoneyloveBlog.com

If you go to that site, you can also download a free copy of Jerry's new 39 page e-book, The Moneylove Manifesto. This is packed with enough action steps to change anyone’s financial success for the better. He also tells his enthralling story, about how he went from being one of the most highly regarded motivational speakers in the world to becoming #K46460 at Folsom State Prison. It’s an amazing story, he’s an amazing guy, and I think you’ll get a lot out of his blog."

And Jack then gave me a great and generous endorsement to use in my marketing:

"Jerry Gillies is one of the pioneering masters of prosperity consciousness. He is one of the best speakers and teachers on the planet, and in all the years we've been good friends, I've found his material to be authentic, practical, inspiring, and fun."

So when I say Jack prospers me, I mean that this kind of support coming from him in his current lofty position in the world of self-improvement and prosperity training is priceless. The Canfield stamp of approval has made a number of successful careers for coaches and speakers and authors. Now that my major efforts involve building my list, trying to reach some of those two million people who bought Moneylove, focused on resuscitating my prosperity teaching career, there is nothing more important than getting the advice and support of people who are doing it out in the world successfully.

So right now, I'm in a major state of gratitude. In coming weeks, I'll be reaching out to other former friends and fans, many of whom probably wondered what happened to me when I disappeared for twelve years. It's an exciting exploration, and with this new reconnection with Jack, proving very worthwhile indeed.

Jerry
